Ms. Tan Yun Yi

Yun Yi attained a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from University of the West of England, Bristol in 2008, completed Certificate of Legal Practice in 2010, and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2012.
Yun Yi has experience in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate advisory works, as well as due diligence practices and procedures in relation to general corporate compliance, mergers and acquisition, proposals requiring the approval of the regulatort authorities in Malaysia.
Besides, Yun Yi also has experience in property-law related matters and has advised corporate and individual clients on real property transactions, including sales and purchases of properties, residential and commercial developments and tenancies.

1. Corporate and Commercial
Advised and conducted legal due diligence for corporate exercises purposes including:
i. Acquisition of the 18 dialysis centres
ii. Acquisition of the shares in a Malaysian entity by a public listed company listed in Singapore Exchange and
iii. Initial public offering
Advised on the sale of business and assets of companies
Advised, drafted, and perused various commercial agreements including share sale agreements, moneylending agreement, loan agreement, share charge agreement, security sharing agreement management agreements.
2. Real Property & Banking
Advised and drafted real property related agreements including sale and purchase agreements and tenancy agreements.
Advised and structured acquisition and disposal of properties, inter alia, the following transactions:
i. Acquisition of land in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur for consideration sum of approximately RM 283 million
ii. Acquisition of lands in Taman Equine, Selangor for consideration sum of approximately RM 184 million and
iii. Acquisition and disposal of real properties in Peninsular Malaysia with consideration sum ranging from RM 500, 000.00 to RM 15, 000, 000.00.
Advised and perused banking documentationin respect of:
1. Corporate loans, including:
(i) Secured corporate loan in respect of RM 331, 282, 000.00 granted by Maybank Banking Berhad to the borrower based in Kuala Lumpur
(ii) Secured corporate loan in respect of RM 210, 500, 000.00 granted by Maybank Islamic Banking Berhad to the borrower based in Kuala Lumpur and
(iii) Secured corporate loan in respect of RM 209, 525, 000.00 granted by Maybank Banking Berhad to the borrower based in Kuala Lumpur and
Advised, drafted and perused various commercial, retail, and housing loans.
